Commissions in Nexora
A commission rule says how much staff may earn from assigned work. Nexora saves the rule with the appointment, creates an accrual only when the work reaches an eligible status, and keeps any later payment as a business record.
Three separate steps
First, the business sets a rule for a staff member on a service or package. The rule can be None, Percent or Fixed.
Second, the appointment keeps a copy of the matching rule and price. Creating the appointment does not yet mean commission has been earned.
Third, an eligible completed or paid-cancelled appointment can create an unpaid commission accrual. Later, the Owner or Full Access Staff can record that accrual as paid.
What the three modes mean
- None means that source has no commission rule for that staff member. It does not create a zero-value commission row.
- Percent uses a value from 0 to 100 and applies it to the price saved for that appointment source.
- Fixed uses one positive amount. It cannot be higher than the saved service price or package session price.
- For a service, the base is the saved service price. For a package appointment, the base is the saved price of one package session.
Commission rules
These rules separate setup, earning and payment.
A commission rule has three modes
The business chooses None, Percent or Fixed for each staff member on a service or package.
None does not create an accrual
When the saved matching rule is None, Nexora skips it. It does not add a commission row with a zero amount.
Percent uses the saved base price
The saved percentage is applied to the service price or package session price kept with the appointment.
Fixed commission cannot exceed the base price
A fixed amount must be positive and no higher than the service price or package session price it uses.
The rule and price are saved with the appointment
When the appointment is prepared, Nexora keeps a copy of the matching catalog rule and price for that appointment.
Later catalog changes do not rewrite the old appointment
Changing a service or package price or commission rule affects later appointments. It does not recalculate an older appointment's saved copy.
Creating an appointment does not earn commission
A new or pending appointment only carries the rule. No commission accrual is created just because the appointment exists.
Completed work can create an accrual
When an assigned appointment reaches Completed, Nexora can create an unpaid commission accrual from its saved rule and price.
A paid cancellation can create an accrual
Paid-cancelled is also an eligible status, so a matching saved rule can produce commission.
An ordinary cancellation does not create an accrual
Cancelled is not an eligible commission status. A cancelled appointment is skipped.
The accrual belongs to the assigned staff member
Nexora uses the appointment's assigned staff member and only their matching service or package rules. No assigned staff means no staff commission accrual.
Service and package sources stay distinct
A service rule uses that service and its saved price. A package rule uses the package and its saved session price. Their sources remain clear on the accrual.
Paid is a business record
Marking commission as paid records the amount, method and date and closes the selected accruals in Nexora. It does not send money to a bank account or payroll system.
The Owner and Full Access Staff manage company commissions
They can view company-wide payable commission accruals, choose exact rows and record them as paid.
Configured staff see only their own commission
A staff member with an active Percent or Fixed rule can see their own commission scope. It is read-only: they cannot pay their own or another person's commission.
A later status change has no general automatic reversal promise
Nexora appends an accrual when an eligible status is reached. The current product does not promise that reopening or changing that appointment later automatically deletes or reverses the existing accrual.
From appointment to payment record
- The appointment is connected to a service or package and assigned to a staff member.
- The matching commission rule and price are saved with that appointment.
- While the appointment is pending, the rule is only waiting; there is no earned commission row.
- Completed or paid-cancelled can create one unpaid accrual for each matching source. Cancelled cannot.
- The Owner or Full Access Staff selects payable rows and records them as paid. This changes Nexora's ledger; the real staff payment is handled by the business.
Simple examples
- Example only: A service price saved on the appointment is 800 TL and the rule is 15%. When the appointment is completed, the commission accrual is 120 TL.
- The catalog rule later changes to 20%. The older appointment still uses its saved 15% rule; a later appointment can use 20%.
- A fixed rule is 200 TL on a service priced at 800 TL. When eligible work is completed, the accrual is 200 TL.
- A fixed rule higher than the source price is rejected instead of creating commission above the saved price.
- The Owner marks a selected 120 TL accrual as paid by Transfer. Nexora stores that payment record but does not make the transfer.
Frequently asked questions
- What commission modes does Nexora support?
- None, Percent and Fixed. Percent is from 0 to 100. Fixed is a positive amount no higher than the source price.
- Does None create a zero commission row?
- No. Nexora skips the None rule and creates no accrual for it.
- Is commission earned when an appointment is created?
- No. The appointment keeps the rule, but commission accrues only when the appointment reaches Completed or Paid-cancelled.
- Does an ordinary cancelled appointment earn commission?
- No. Cancelled is not eligible. Paid-cancelled is a separate eligible status.
- What price does percent commission use?
- It uses the service price or package session price saved with that appointment.
- Does changing the catalog rule recalculate old appointments?
- No. An older appointment keeps its saved rule and price. The new catalog setting applies to later appointments.
- Who can record commission as paid?
- The Owner and Full Access Staff can manage company payable accruals. Other staff cannot record commission payments.
- Can staff see their own commission?
- Yes, when they have an active Percent or Fixed rule. Their view is limited to their own commission and is read-only.
- Does marking commission paid send money?
- No. It records the selected accruals as paid in Nexora. The business handles the real bank, cash or payroll payment.
